When passion and skills meet, Bavelloni is there and willing to support training initiatives for young people For example, every year we welcome students from the Italian high schools for training periods with our staff and offer them a first live experience of a working environment; we also cooperated with university students on research projects for their degree.
This year we took part once again in the ITA Italian Technology Awards initiative, sponsored by Gimav, and were glad to welcome in our offices three US students accompanied by a professor of the Alfred University, NY. The students, who had a scientific background on glass, showed great interest in the operation of our machinery and in the glass processing quality aspects. They were guided through our assembly and testing departments where they could appreciate our wide product offering for flat glass which includes cutting, grinding, bevelling, decoration and drilling solutions. Today’s glass market, more and more challenging, is demanding machine reliability, automation and constant availability of usable data; in this perspective, we dedicated a special focus on equipment and final products quality, accuracy and connectivity.
This visit was very satisfactory for us; our guests asked several questions on the glass market trends and on our machinery and processes that they had never had the chance to see in an academic environment.
