The VW 1600 OT (Open Top) vertical washing machine has been designed using proven and reliable solutions, quality materials and components ensuring durability and reduced maintenance.

OT structure for higher flexibility

VW 1600 OT has an open structure in the upper part (Open Top) so to allow the passage of glass sheets higher than 1600 mm. In this way it can occasionally be used even for bigger glass panes.

Rollers driven by bevel gears

The glass transport rollers are driven by a bevel gear transmission to guarantee the best performance: smooth movement, low noise and zero maintenance.

Interfacing with other machines

VW 1600 OT has been designed for use as stand-alone machine but it can also be integrated with other vertical machinery (straight-line edgers, drilling machines, etc.). Interfacing can be easily done in terms of worktable height and process (working speed synchronisation, emergencies, etc.).

Automatic glass thickness adjustment

The VW 1600 OT washing machine features a special solution to automatically adjust the distance between the brushes according to the thickness of the glass to process.

Oversized structure

This ensures perfect flatness of the roller table, no vibrations, high performance.
The machine body houses the glass washing and drying sections.

Top washing quality

The washing section includes three independent zones: pre-washing, washing, and rinsing, each with its own water distribution system. The VW 1600 OT vertical washer is equipped with two pairs of segmented brushes featuring high density bristles for top washing results.

Optimum drying performance

The drying system consists of a fan and a pair of inclined air blades entirely made of stainless steel. The high-pressure radial fan, very compact and light, is controlled by inverter. The system delivers excellent drying performance.

Low-maintenance, easy access

The glass transport rollers of the VW 1600 OT washing machine are driven by maintenance-free transmission systems moreover, the vertical rollers in the washing section are made of special vulcanized NBR rubber for high wear resistance. The extensive use of stainless steel in any part of the machine (covers, structure, roller pins, roller supports and brush shafts) offers excellent corrosion resistance while minimizing maintenance. The transmission systems, placed on top of the machine, are protected from water and easy to access.

Modular inlet and outlet sections

The glass inlet and outlet sections are modular so, when configuring the machine, they can fit any layout requirement. Thanks to the technical solutions adopted, it is possible to modify the length of these sections even after the installation of the machine, if necessary.
